Department Introduction

Robotics is the discipline necessary for enabling robots to exhibit cognitive abilities, judgment, and movement analogous to those of humans.

To achieve this, it is essential to cultivate the ability to integrate mechanical, electrical/electronic, and computer systems into a cohesive whole. Therefore, students will study foundational courses from each engineering discipline, as well as subjects necessary for the creation and operation of robots themselves. Moreover, the robotics industry is technology-intensive and has significant national implications, positioning it as the next-generation industry following semiconductors. Consequently, graduates can pursue a variety of careers as robotics experts or systems engineers.
